The series shows photographs of old books. The books are photographed using an analogue technique in which the books have been lit from below; this means that shadows only fall on the top surface and around the folds on the cover. The book, a three-dimensional object, thus appears two-dimensional. A majority of the covers in the series present a variety of monocromes where time has made a landscape, others are actual landscape images.
